The holidays are drawing near. It’s time to press some cider, pull out the cookbooks and start practicing the iconic holiday tunes. Leave the iPod in its case, though, and turn off the satellite radio. Instead, take advantage of the Richmond performing arts scene and catch the world’s most recognized performers live!

Kick off the season with Manheim Steamroller at The Landmark Theater on November 26 at 8:00 PM. It’s hard to believe that this group, founded by Chip Davis, first achieved international popularity in 1984 with the release of Manheim Steamroller Christmas. 25 years later, they remain synonymous with all that is merry, bright, and defiantly tech-y.

Feel the intensity of the holiday spirit with the “Rock Theater” of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Richmond Coliseum on November 30 at 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. This isn’t your mother’s Christmas concert – expect big sound, big effects and lots of pyrotechnics. You’ll leave charged up and ready to revel!

On December 9, lovers of all ages will delight in Amy Grant and Vince Gill: The 12 Days of Christmas at The Landmark at 8:00 PM. The Grammy Award-Winning husband and wife team has created an annual tradition with their Christmas tours. Family-oriented and full of sentiment, this tour combines standards with contemporary work and more than a little of their special brand of romance.
