3rd Annual Secret Garden Progressive Cocktail Party Features RVA Gardens and Green Spaces

On Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM, party lovers and RVA enthusiasts will once again enjoy an evening of cocktails, gardens and green spaces during the 3rd Annual Secret Garden Progressive Cocktail Party.

Five sites are included in the party and will be connected by shuttle service for safe, convenient transport. The locations include Valentine Richmond History Center, the John Marshall House, The White House of the Confederacy, Monumental Church and the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Guests may start at any of the five venues and use the provided shuttle transportation. Purchase your tickets in advance or at the door. There is a one-drink limit per location.

At the Sally Archer Garden of The White House of the Confederacy, enjoy Carolina BBQ Bites and Lemon Squares, Virginia wines and assorted beers, live music by Wayside and tours of the galleries.

Becky’s Healing Garden at VCU’s Massey Center will feature Panzanella Skewers and Rosemary Chicken with Red Pepper Pesto, Strawberry Blossoms and Prosecco, classical music by Deborah Saidel and researchers discussing current projects.

The Wickham House (1812) Garden of the Valentine Richmond History Center will feature Mini Grilled Vegetable Kabobs, Hawaiian Meatballs and tropical fruit, Tropical Ginger Punch with Cirrus Vodka, live music by the Jeff Powell Quartet and tours of the house and galleries.

The John Marshall House Garden and the Betty Moore Garden at Monumental Church are also participating.

Tickets purchased in advance are $30 per person or $50 per couple. If you wait until the day of the event, the tickets are $35 for a single and $60 for a couple.
